Ram Charan explained that at its core, Peddi explores a man’s profound search for identity. The actor highlighted that everyone navigates life in pursuit of a purpose, and his character faces a significant identity crisis before finding his path for a larger cause. The narrative follows his transformation into a “crossover athlete,” a journey that requires him to master three distinct sports—cricket, wrestling, and running.
Reflecting on the role, the actor shared, “We all need some kind of identity to live and get through the day. Peddi is about a man who finds his identity for a larger cause. What did he go through? Why did he become a crossover athlete? What led him to become what he is? Peddi is a blend of organic storytelling and commercial elements.”
