Amazon Prime Video has officially locked the global digital premiere date for the Tamil blockbuster Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan. The film is scheduled to begin streaming on the platform on June 12, 2026. The digital launch comes exactly 28 days after its initial theatrical release on May 15, 2026.
Record-Breaking ₹300 Crore Box Office Run
The transition to digital streaming follows a historic theatrical run for the project. According to trade tracking data from Sacnilk, Karuppu accumulated an estimated ₹193.93 crore net at the domestic box office, pushing its total Indian gross past ₹224.15 crore. Complemented by an international gross of ₹80.70 crore, the film’s cumulative worldwide earnings stand at ₹304.85 crore. This milestone cements the film as the highest-grossing venture of Suriya’s career to date.

To accommodate a wide pan-Indian streaming audience, Amazon Prime Video will release the film simultaneously in multiple regional languages. Alongside the original Tamil audio track, subscribers will have access to dubbed versions in Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu. The Telugu version will stream under the official localized title, Veerabhadrudu.
