The makers of Vishwanath and Sons released the promo for the film’s second single, ‘The Wedding Song’, on Thursday to mark Suriya’s birthday. Released in both Tamil and Telugu, the promo offers a lively glimpse of Suriya and Mamitha Baiju dancing at a wedding celebration ahead of the song’s full release on July 25.
Suriya has lent his voice to the track, with G.V. Prakash Kumar composing the music and Ramajogaiah Sastry writing the lyrics. The upbeat promo showcases the lead pair in a colourful wedding setting, setting the tone for the festive number.

Suriya and Mamitha Baiju lead Venky Atluri’s family drama
Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath and Sons follows the story of Sanjay Vishwanath, played by Suriya, and his relationship with a much younger woman portrayed by Mamitha Baiju. The character’s name, Sanjay Vishwanath, references Suriya’s memorable role as Sanjay Ramasamy in Ghajini.
The film is positioned as a family entertainer that blends romance, emotions and personal journeys.
Ensemble cast and technical team
The supporting cast includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik and Master Charvik.
The technical crew features cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli and production designer Banglan. The film also reunites Suriya with composer G.V. Prakash Kumar after their collaboration on Soorarai Pottru.
Release plans
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners, and presented by Srikara Studios, Vishwanath and Sons is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 14. The makers had earlier released the melody Pattampoochi, while the complete version of ‘The Wedding Song’ is set to arrive on July 25. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix, with the digital release date yet to be announced.
