Huma Qureshi has spoken about how her idea of success has changed after more than a decade in films. For her, the biggest achievement is no longer just visibility, but the freedom to choose roles that feel creatively satisfying.
In a recent interview, the actor said she does not want to be limited to one fixed image on screen. She explained that performers should have the space to explore different kinds of cinema, from mainstream entertainers to darker dramas and more experimental work.
Huma added that she values the ability to move between contrasting characters without being defined by a single type. In her view, an actor should not be expected to stay inside one box, and creative freedom is what makes a long career meaningful.
She also said she still wants to take on a romantic or commercial film, but only on her own terms. Rather than follow a formula, she wants every project to reflect her instinct and range as a performer.
On the work front, Huma has recently produced and headlined the thriller Baby Do Die Do. She will next be seen in Toxic, directed by Geethu Mohandas and starring Yash.
